Diamonds as an Investment
By: Y. Mor
I often being asked if it is worthwhile to purchase diamonds and jewelry through an auction house despite the high commissions they charge?
I tend to encourage purchasing through an esteemed auction house! Each Esteemed auction house has a certain level of criteria for quality of diamonds and jewelry it willing to sell under its name. Each one has its own criteria. One is stiffer the other one is slightly less but they all have a standard they do not move from, and it is not a matter of how much they can earn but it's more important for them to know that the quality of diamond and/or jewelry that they deliver to their client is the finest! |

When I receive a request from a client for a particular diamond, I can offer him a suitable diamond within few hours or even minutes. If it is something very rare it may take a little longer but it's also possible. But that's something that many can do. When I choose a diamond for a client I have very strict and specific standards about what I am going to offer,
the diamond I offer must meet all the standards to the full, finding one or two components from the list is an easy task but finding a diamond that meets all criteria is a very difficult task. Every diamond must be not 99.9% but 100%.
We know that the customers who buy MOR BROTHERS want to get the best quality of diamonds with the best value!
And this is what we know to do the best.
My Mother always told me that in life you need the right combination of luck and wisdom to succeed, if you are lucky enough to find someone trustable to work with you must also be smart enough to take full advantage of this opportunity!

When you are buying a diamond, or any kind of a jewelry that is set with diamonds, there are two factors that are most important.
The experts' diamond consultants will probably say that the most important factor in diamond is first of all the origin of the Mine - where it came from, because this is mainly what defines the sparkle and "Life" of a diamond. Afterwards, it will be the cutting standard - in order to take advantage of the fine rough diamond you must cut it precisely to have maximum brilliance (Hearts & Arrows)! Then comes the Size, Color & Clarity. Everything is true! All parameters mentioned are very important and essential, but there are two parameters that make your "Purchase" an "Investment", and a profitable one! |
So what are actually the two most important parameters?
Diamonds are a sign for wealth, and most importantly is that no matter whenever you wear it, whether it's on a daily base or at special occasions, it will always remind you that you are blessed and makes you shine inside out.
The second most important thing when buying a diamond is knowing and thinking that the diamond or jewelry you are buying is an asset and a legacy you create to pass on to the next generation, which will be valuable not only emotionally but also as an asset!
